In-Mold Decoration (IMD) and In-Mold Labeling (IML)
In-Mold Decoration (IMD) and In-Mold Labeling (IML) are advanced processes that integrate graphics directly into the plastic injection molding stage, creating high-quality, durable finishes that outperform traditional surface printing or painting. In IMD, the decorative graphic is transferred and permanently bonded to the molded surface while the carrier film is removed after molding. In IML, a pre-printed label or film is placed inside the mold and fuses into the part itself, becoming a permanent feature of the product. Both methods protect designs from fading, peeling, or abrasion and are widely used in appliances, electronics, automotive, and other industries where both performance and aesthetics are critical.
CUSTOM SOLUTIONS
BRANDING AND DECORATIVE ELEMENTS
Branding and decorative elements are seamlessly integrated into plastic parts during the injection molding process, delivering optimal durability and long-lasting aesthetics. Shown here is an example of a handheld device utilizing this technology.

CUSTOM SOLUTIONS
PREMIUM SURFACE AESTHETICS
Intricate brushed patterns, like the example shown, can be integrated into injection-molded components to achieve premium, long-lasting aesthetics.
CUSTOM SOLUTIONS
DURABLE USER INTERFACE SOLUTIONS
IMD is commonly used in the appliance industry as part of user interface solutions, offering excellent durability along with chemical and abrasion resistance.

CUSTOM SOLUTIONS
VIVID, LASTING COLORS
Bright, vivid colors can be integrated into IMD parts during molding, delivering eye-catching aesthetics that remain durable over time.
